The Central Committee of Hamro Chhahari convened at the Mumbai headquarters for its quarterly review. Representatives from the Mumbai, Siliguri and Kolkata ashrams attended in person, with additional members joining over video link.
The agenda covered the standard operational checks — occupancy reports, expenditure audits, donor acknowledgements and volunteer rotations across the three branches. The committee also reviewed pending patient cases that required cross-branch coordination.
Looking ahead, members discussed two upcoming priorities: expanding the medical-equipment library at the Mumbai ashram, and beginning groundwork for a fourth branch closer to Vellore — where a growing number of referred patients are now being treated.
Decisions taken at the Central Committee carry across all three ashrams. The discipline of meeting quarterly, even when the day-to-day work feels overwhelming, is what keeps the organisation aligned.
